The problem I have with the MVP is however minimal you try to make it, it needs to somewhat represent the product/service you eventually intend to build. This invariably takes a lot of time and/or money, albeit less than the investment required for full development. This issue is solved by the humble RAT. Interesting post here from @Stuart Foster of Monitree regarding the use of a RAT or Riskiest Assumption Test as a way of achieving confidence in a concept prior to the creation of an MVP. The use of a structured interviews, with a representative cross section of stakeholders, to gather their reactions to an innovation or service is something that Health Tech Enterprise has been doing for its clients for years. The RAT approach reinforces the utility of this type of primary #marketresearch early in the development process.
