It's rare these days to attend a gathering with a large group of people without the topic of Ozempic coming up. But what I find most fascinating is this article by Claire McCormack at Beauty Independent, outlining the beauty + wellness opportunities that are opening up in the market as a result of the GLP-1 phenomenon. A few of these: 1?? New Opportunities for Supplements – Either natural ways to mimic the results of GLP-1s, or ways to combat the side effects of the medication, like nausea and fatigue. 2?? Creating a New Wave of Fragrance Fanatics – Many people taking GLP-1s have reported (and shared on TikTok!) their new obsession with fragrances. One TikToker said food isn't interesting anymore, so this was a new sensory experience for her. And research shows there may be an indirect brain, gut, and smell connection. 3??
