Who needs a bigger pod squad?
At Earth Gives we are all about pods, shoals, flotillas, batterys and fevers. Of course we're talking about groups of fish.
Scuba Diving magazine tells us that when fish swim together, they're called a shoal. When they swim in the same direction, it's called a school. That movement in unison is usually to help the school find food or mates.
Earth Gives Day is embracing that same idea - having climate and environmental nonprofits swim together on one platform making it easier to have potential donor mates find you.
This nationwide giving day is in response to eco philanthropy being stuck at just 2% of all giving. It is not enough to protect our futures and families.
So if you're part of a US-based nonprofit that protects our lakes, rivers, waterways, oceans and their food-giving, life-saving, carbon-capturing power, then sign up today. (Yes, other wildlife, nature, climate and climate justice groups welcome too.)
