Years ago, Congress put in place a cap on withdrawals from the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Now that cap, which is based on a three-year average, is set to plummet. Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding will be cut across all organizations next year, including other domestic violence help lines like Friendship Home of Lincoln and Voices of Hope Lincoln. CLIA stands to lose 40% of funding that currently helps #immigrants and #refugees. To meet the continued demand for services, we will need to find funding from other sources or we may need to cut the critical programs we have. High Lethality Risk Alert In the early hours of the morning, at 1:15am, Control Alt Delete took swift action to protect a Survivor of domestic violence. With the abuser set to be released from police custody, we changed the locks on the survivor's home to ensure their safety. Domestic violence is a serious issue, and we are committed to providing immediate support and protection to those in need. This life saving work is only possible due to donations and support from our community. NPCC and College of Policing have said, "violence against women and girls had reached 'epidemic' levels." Their report estimated that one in 20 adults - or 2.3 million people - were perpetrators of violence against women and girls every year in the UK. "Nobody in industry and in other sectors and across the public understands just the scale and impact of these crimes." ____ Let that sink in.... That's why we are committed to our campaign Home is Where the Harm is! So far we've raised with the National Benevolent Charity over ￡19,000, that is already with Women and Children looking to escape and rebuild lives after suffering from domestic abuse. The money goes from donation to local cashpoints for victims to claim. That's a UK-wide first for supporting victims! This also can be with them within hours of the NBC becoming aware of the situation. We've now seen 96 victims supported in under a month. The challenge is that the donations have already run dry, so we're calling on companies and those in charge of budgets to help make donations to our cause, like British Airways has already. We us these donations to double the pledges made by the public. So that charities like NBC can help people quickly and try to make a positive dent in these horror statistics. There have been a lot of tragic news headlines of fatalities from domestic violence. Every single domestic abuse situation has the potential to become lethal. There are also cases that have been flagged as High Lethality Risk by the police or prosecutor offices. Control Alt Delete facilitates on average 30 escapes from domestic violence every day with 1-4 of those escapes being flagged as a High Lethality Risk. We are currently working on 7 High Lethality Risk escapes from domestic violence. 7 escapes that without help from Control Alt Delete could mean these Survivors could become a news headline. To EDUCATE by providing training and guidance in schools, colleges, workplaces and other organisations. The Trust offers a series of workshops designed to help people create positive, happy and safe relationships, free from abuse. ?? To PREVENT other people from going through what Hollie did before her death. We offer our free personal safety app, Hollie Guard in the hope this will help individuals experiencing domestic abuse and stalking to stay safe.

It is random act of kindness day today, acts of kindness should be done everyday but having a day can be used for supporting good causes and making genuine differences in peoples existence. Jaclyn Ristic is raising money to support the homeless in Lincoln. Shelter has found that those who sleep rough every night has risen by 26% in the last year and with more financial uncertainty and the cost of living crisis this is expected to continue to rise. Many people released from prison are released homeless as there is not housing or any form of accommodation available in many areas. It really is a postcode lottery to whether you will be released onto the streets or into some form of shelter. Please be kind to those on the streets, everyone has a story.
