Employer Reference Check... A very important thing to be taken notice of, which most of us forget to do before we join a new organization. It’s very normal that organizations do a reference check on new employees, but why is it that we, as candidates, don’t find it important to know the environment of an organization we have to join? Do we only focus on salary? I don’t think it’s worth getting a higher salary from the previous organization, but with facing everyday toxicity in the workplace that effects your mental health. Please make it normal to get a reference check about the organization's environment. You can get it from contacting employees on LinkedIn who worked there previously, but make sure to keep the identity of the person confidential.
