It’s time to revive that initiative, but on a much larger scale. What needs to happen now is that all major tech companies come together under a unified global collaborative the Council On Social Media Relations (Global). This isn’t just about gathering around a table; it’s about creating a framework where these companies can collaborate, share insights, and address the pressing challenges that social media poses on a global level. Corporations like the Social Media Research Institute would play a crucial role in facilitating these efforts, working alongside other companies that represent different countries. Together, we could shape policies, influence industry standards, and drive meaningful change in how social media impacts society.
