Waymo One is now providing over 150,000 paid trips and driving over 1 million fully autonomous miles every week. The future is here, it’s growing, and it’s taking riders safely to their destinations every day.
Great to see Waymo's advancements! An above-the-vehicle wireless charging system could be a game-changer for Waymo efficiently powering autonomous EV fleets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDtdBUL-ZjA
I've done 12 of those trips and it worked out so well. Am I a frequent customer with these figures? Loved the experience and hopefully I can manage to take those experiences back to Germany to help drive develop this technology further. We should follow up on this successful example back at home. Great job Waymo and go on!
Exciting times ahead! The contrast in how different generations embrace autonomous technology is fascinating. While some see it as a futuristic leap, others view it as a seamless progression in mobility. Waymo’s achievement—over 1 million autonomous miles weekly—is a clear sign of the shift we’re experiencing. It’s not just about getting from point A to B; it’s about how we’re adapting to new tech in our daily lives. Here’s to a future where autonomy and mobility bring us closer!
another fantastic milestone for 2024!
Incredible to see the progress!
My whole family really enjoyed our ride with Waymo! https://youtube.com/shorts/DZfh1eNRZaE?feature=share
Cool to see! I've taken Waymo probably a dozen times at this point in San Francisco and find it to be convenient and frankly normal at this point, the latter is something I would not have claimed ten years ago. Seeing these autonomous cars every day in the city is more proof that we are living in the future.

3 周Is there more data available? 150k passengers and 1 million autonomous miles per week, equals 6,6 miles or so per carried passengers. That includes repositioning of vehicles for the next passenger and movements to/from the depot. What is the actual average distance per passenger? Also, with 700 vehicles operating on average 16 hours per day, this is 2 passengers per hour per vehicle. What’s is the peak hour ridership over the fleet? What is the average occupancy? Where the milestones are going up quickly, the data not shared (yet) is even more interesting!
