System for finishing laundry on a tight schedule: Pre-prep: have family members sort laundry when they put in hamper. Colors, whites, linen, towels, delicates 1. Put longest load in at night. Schedule to start so it ends when you wake up. 2. In the morning, move to dryer/hang. 3. Set short load (length of dryer run). 4. Flip wash when done. Repeat as needed. I saw the bottom of all laundry baskets today. True Story. Just happened. I am sure all other operators out there can relate. Remember, you must talk nicely to front load washers and stroke their ego at times. They can be persnickety: 1) If using regular/concentrated liquid laundry detergent, use LESS for best results (as this avoids over sudsing which can result in an out of order machine and frustrates other laundrygoers). 2) Only use high efficiency (HE) liquid detergent for BEST RESULTS in Front Load Washers and put in the dispenser tray. 3) If you must use powder detergent, toss directly in washer tub (BEFORE clothes are added). DO NOT put in the dispenser drawer. 4) If you use laundry pods, DO NOT put them in the dispenser tray. Please put directly in the wash tub BEFORE adding clothes.

This Wisconsin casino traded a 450lb Milnor for two Continental 250lb washers. On lighter days they can run a single washer, appropriate for the load size, versus firing up the big one and wasting utilities. They also threw in a new multi-sorting towel folder to replace their non-sorting towel folder. The new towel folder can identify different towel sizes, fold and separate them accordingly which eliminates the need to pre-sort.
