She advocates for proactive steps to instil values of respect and belonging, not just in young learners, but in ourselves too. The video spotlights key concepts like tolerance, acceptance, and unconscious bias, revealing how small, everyday actions can unintentionally reinforce injustice. We recently shared Liz Pemberton's 4 Es framework with our first-year students studying as part of our Principles of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion degree module. ? This module forms the basis of a thread of equality and inclusion that runs through each module our students study and explores the meaning of these topics, the policies that underpin early years practice of #inclusion, how #diversity can be valued and celebrated, and how #EarlyYears practitioners can uphold the rights of children and families. ? Our Principles of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion #EarlyChildhood module was also recently explored in our Norland Unwrapped degree taster session with module lead Tara Nolty, exploring themes of the topic including identities, stigmas, bias and more. ?
