Amazing time at #NKBAW2W conference this week - it was such an honor to be selected and just the boost of confidence I needed! I learned a ton from the amazing advisors (Woo team Sherry Hansel Qualls!) and each and every other woman - all amazing! - I talked to. Here are my top 3: 1. ?? Find your light! ?? (A lighting metaphor always works with this gal!) Inspiration from an amazing keynote by Laura Kohler - this topic set the stage for differentiation, and bringing our individual experiences forward as an advantage. I'm not successful despite my differences - but because of them. I am uniquely suited to make change and impact. 2. ? Take the time to be all in ? I believe it was Marcia Speer who shared that it had been so long since they were in a meeting when every person was focused and fully all in. And it was incredible! With so many competing demands on everyone's time, it can be so hard to focus on what's in front of you. The energy was palpable and the tradeoff (a tiny bit of evening work) well worth it. 3. ? People are more than their title ? Everyone in that room had more to contribute, beyond the job they do as a K&B designer or marketing manager or project lead (and even group category manager!) - take the time to see people. Tap into the energy of others. Connect and cultivate inspiration. What ideas does someone have to contribute that they have never been asked??
