I would like to understand your new marketing strategies since Jim Marshall's passing, becoming not only a musical instrument amplifier company, but also producing and selling headphones, bluetooth speakers and even refrigerators, expanding the business to non-musicians consumers and also investing in marketing channels for non-musicians (more expensive than seeing (and hearing) a wall of Marshalls on stage at every major concert around the world) Where can I learn more about your new marketing strategy?

A "bizarre" talent partnership that dropped this week that I love, despite the headlines Burberry's ad with "Cold" Cole Palmer features the Premier League star sitting by a pond for 9 minutes and 34 seconds—occasionally adjusting his fishing rod. That's it. Literally, that’s all that happens. ?? No product features. No music. No edits. No CTA. With Cole's popularity at an all-time high and his brilliant nickname (and his iconic celebration to match), it's well played by Burberry to align with him and put Cole in their classic duffle coat. Plus, the #ItsAlwaysBurberryWeather slogan couldn’t be more fitting. The ad starts as if Cole himself hits 'record' on the camera. In a world full of marketing that’s overloaded with effects and dynamics, this ad takes a refreshing approach—a calm, soothing break from the noise. I appreciate it similar to how I enjoy YouTube's "Enjoy The Zen" ads. On the back end, this sort of filming day is low lift for a talent with an extremely busy work schedule at the moment. The simplicity of the filming process likely made it appealing, enabling him to shoot the ad in a short amount of time without extensive production demands. It also benefits Burberry, allowing them to leverage Cole's rising star power without a hefty budget. Independent film makers have tools that engage the viewer at a experiential level, a film isn't only about the words but the holistic setting and environment of the film for the viewer to get immersed. Cinematic language is explained in how we experience film. Light / Color - communicated to our subconscious to make us like or dislike a character , tense or relaxed Picture - Eyes read the setting, mood, vybes, pace of the story communicated the story Sound or Silence - Ears pick the vibrations, intensity, depth of the story as each sound tells a story as each story is multi dimensional. Words - they vocalize /explain the above three key elements of film making. Lighting, Picture and Sound tell half the story ( theatre of the mind ) the unsaid, the suggested and the unknown. Words fill in the void to humanize the characters. In pre production enough time should be spent ensuring the three elements are mapped and blocked for each scene. Then the words come in to support the story. Slow burn movies use all the three elements extensively to tell the story. I’ve been following the Paramount takeover, particularly its potential impact on Channel 5 in the UK. Found the below particularly interesting: Paramount Global’s Q3 earnings ?laid out continued operational challenges?with big declines in theatrical and overall revenue: - $1 M net income Down ↓ 99.7% from $295 M ‘23 - $6.73 bn revenue ↓ 6% ?? Just in case that didn’t catch your eye, the entire business made $1 M off of $6.73 bn revenue. Paramount streaming was the sunny spot as their DTC division reported a profit: $1.86 bn DTC revenue ↑ 10% $1.34 bn Subscription revenue ↑ 7% $49 M profit Up from $238 M loss YoY 2nd consecutive profitable quarter 72 M subs ↑ 3.5M Skydance acquired Paramount, and pending any regulatory approval, the deal will close next year. But first, the three CEOs running Paramount will rush to complete their previously announced plans to save $500 M/year, including a 2000-person layoff (15% US workforce) by EOY. To help with Paramount’s challenges, Skydance CEO David Ellison and financier RedBird Capital are?committing $1.5 bn?to help Paramount pay down its debt. Will the tables turn for Paramount? Assemble The Universe! I don't drink pop very often (yeah I said pop, proud Yinzer here) and I'm a passive Marvel fan at best. I like Storm for sure and would look out for that one in particular, but I would have to get a set if I found Storm. Really clever marketing piece. Reminds me of the old IRON CITY BREWING COMPANY pop top collectable beer cans with different images of National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB) teams on them. We still have quite a few Pittsburgh Steelers cans stored away. But the real story here is the long-standing mastermind of Disney and their acquisition genius that changed the media category in a way we had never seen. The typical company mindset is to compete. Someone has a product that's winning against you? You make a better one, right? Any company other than Disney would have tried to make some better super hero world and cast of characters to head go head to head with Marvel. It would have been a flop. But better isn't the winner. Different is the winner. And if the winner exists in the category, you don't squabble over the crumbs of what's left, trying to tell everyone that's you're better. You pivot on a dime and give 11 cents change like Disney did and ACQUIRE the Category Kings and Queens like Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Entertainment, and Lucasfilm for the most powerhouse, multi-concept studio there ever was. One idea from the Jennifer Aniston clips below resonates with my own journey--finding the power of my voice. Countless times throughout my life, my voice has been shut down, interrupted, disregarded, belittled, ridiculed or dismissed. It has taken me years, particularly as an introvert, to learn to push through all of the strategies and techniques used to shut me down, to then find my voice. To identify what matters to me and what I want to share and how I want to share it. If there is one thing I could teach young women today, it is this. And even as adults, do we really need to always say something interesting to be part of a group, to be accepted by others? After a long lasting relationship with someone we don't always speak to each other and that's absolutely fine, we understand each other. Life isn't just about what we say, whether interesting or not, but more about accepting that we're not perfect when we act or when we talk and that's ok.
