We are all so grateful for the many associates around the country who are coming together to support our friends and neighbors impacted by Hurricane Helene. I'm proud of our associates who are working hard to bring support to these areas with meals, water, Wi-Fi, charging stations and other assistance. Along with the Walmart Foundation, we’re starting with a commitment of $6 million to support local response efforts. I'm always inspired by how our customers and members look to help in these moments. So, as part of that commitment, we’re matching their generous donations to the American Red Cross 1:1, up to $2.5 million, when they donate in stores, clubs and on Walmart.com. To the many teams and individuals who are supporting the rescue and recovery efforts, thank you.

Walmart isn't like it was back when Sam was running it. Then I was at store # 1,. The 10 years that I was there the stock split 3 times. I started in 1983. It was on a Thursday when I saw the manager, I asked if he was hiring? He said yes,. I started working the following Monday. I was also driving a school bus and did some private duty in homes of the elderly. Whenever I would call the home office, I would speak to someone that day. No later than the next day. A couple of months ago I called with an idea. Thus far as far as I know it hasn't been started. It isn't as easy these days to get donations from Walmart. I shared a solution. The customer should be allowed to round up to the next dollar. Let this money go into a help account. When a customer needs help because not enough for diapers or food with that fund it has already been paid for. This would decrease the amount of theft.

Our company comes along side events such as this. Inspiring, as big as we are, we meet our communities where they need us the most. Let's go Walmart. ?? ??

This is great, however what about the people that actually work for you? What happen to the days that the employees actually got paid for holidays like Christmas & Thanksgiving? You took that benefit away and you have no idea the impact that has on them. Charity starts at home - your employees work hard for your company. Fyi- please do not say that your new PTO policy covers it- becuz it doesn't and PTO is PTO an holiday pay is holiday pay. I mean how rich do you need to be as your employees suffer? Greed is what it's called and u should be ashamed. This is talked about throughout the country about how we work for the devil and the devil pays our bills. How sad is that!

Walmart has gone down hill with their new command structure in stores. Associates are getting away with just hiding or staying in their phones like they are working. Associates that do hard work are not given hours they are given to managements favorite assoc or their tattletales that report every little thing. Walmart was once a proud place you could say you worked, but now it's a circus let loose with no really good business structure as previous years. I worked for three different Walmarts for a total of fourteen years so I know the good and bad changes that have been made. Taking the bonus and holiday pay away from reg associates and giving it to management that basically now just babysits without getting their hands dirty is outrageous to say the least. Walmart is definitely wally world the circus where associates get screwed any chance Walmart gets. I am sorry for all associates that suffer.
