The Waffle House Index ???? With hurricane season approaching its peak, the "Waffle House Index" has been a topic of conversation with many people. Allow us to explain: When anticipating a natural disaster in one of our communities, we ensure our restaurants and staff are equipped with additional supplies and resources to safely weather the storm. Throughout the event, we closely monitor its severity and make operational decisions regarding the safety of our staff and restaurants. One of our main objectives is to sustain or reopen our stores as quickly as possible after the storm passes in hopes of restoring a sense of normalcy to the affected communities. The "Waffle House Index" provides FEMA and other agencies with a quick snapshot of the impact of a disaster on a community's infrastructure and helps in prioritizing response efforts. The scale is simple: ??= Open, serving full menu. The restaurant has power and damage is minimal. ??= Open, serving limited menu. Power is either absent or delivered by a generator, or food supplies are running low. ??= Closed. Indicates severe damage/destruction to the community. Our immediate involvement during these difficult times is an extension of our commitment to serving our communities 24/7, especially when they need us the most. ?? #WaffleHouseIndex #FEMA #CultureMatters #AmericasPlace
I would love to be a part of this, during the storm season! I am a rockstar relief and I love to help in difficult situations!?
When I was at US Foods, WH was a top priority to keep supplied.
I work for Waffle House and I would love if I was a team member that was relocated after a disaster in other areas, to help Keep all Waffle House standards and brands accomplished and giving those teammates a little break and some relief. Truly a great company all around,!!
