I am looking for an ops manager for PhoLicious here in Houston Texas! We manufacture and distribute instant pho bowls online and to nationwide retailers. We are seeking someone who is a leadership role now that may want the opportunity to move to another aspect growth. We are looking for a leader that reflects the following qualities. 1. **Leadership Skills**: Effective AGMs lead by example, inspire their team, and manage staff efficiently, ensuring that everyone works towards common goals. 2. **Customer Focus**: A strong emphasis on guest satisfaction is crucial. This includes scheduling, coordinating events, and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. 6. **Financial Acumen**: Understanding budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting will help this leader make informed decisions that affect the daily operations and profitability. 7. **Attention to Detail**: Ensuring that all aspects of the production, from cleanliness to service delivery, meet high standards. 8. **Adaptability**: The ability to adapt to changing situations. 9. **Team Development**: Commitment to training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance. 10. **Technology Proficiency**: Familiarity with technology that can streamline operations and improve efficiency. 11. **Interpersonal Skills**: Building strong relationships with customers, staff, and vendors to foster a collaborative and positive environment. 12. **Strategic Thinking**: The ability to plan and implement strategies that align with goals and objectives. 13. **Cultural Sensitivity**: Understanding and respecting diverse cultures. 14. **Ethical Conduct**: Upholding high ethical standards and integrity in all dealings. This role will have: Manage 18 plus employees on the day to day operations of our production facility. 4 day work week (M-Thu 9am - 7:30pm). 80 hours of PTO per year (with roll over) with accruing hours starting on day 1. I wish sometimes people could see a little bit further when they read a CV with store manager experience. It’s NOT ONLY “store manager”, it’s way more then that. It should not be this difficult to find a job outside retail after spending all of this years multitasking and learning from basically every department, plus doing tasks that are not even in the description of a Store Manager position. I really feel a lot of job positions could benefit from the experience of a Store Manager. Spoke to a hiring manager today who has a refreshing approach to recruiting National Account Executives… (homebased ??) They arent obsessed with buying in identikit experience to plug a hole in their team. They’re offering a fresh opportunity for someone to step up into a bigger role with P&L ownership that would be ideal for someone looking to move on from field sales or commercial admin. They laid out: ??What you will learn in your new role (spoiler alert - National account management..) ??What accounts you will cut your teeth on (delivered wholesale and buying groups) ??Why their management approach is supportive and gets the most out of their team (honesty, integrity and embracing challenging thinking) ??Gave examples of team members who are thriving (one followed them across two companies!) ??Gave example of why the company culture fosters loyalty and works smart (as well as hard) ??Painted the big picture on where the business is going and why you want to be there (investment in people and product) And only after all this, did they lay out what they needs from their new hire. This hiring manager really gets it. If you want people to take interest in your company, you need to make their needs a priority. This is your life after all.
