This month’s newsletter from Valley Restart features an article I got to write as a board member about my experience working with the homeless community. “By inviting those struggling financially to the table, we can have a meaningful relationship that transcends any worldly boundaries. We can share knowledge and resources that will change the trajectory of lives.” That is what the work of Valley Restart is all about! ?? Have you ever considered what it’s like to face the relentless Arizona sun without access to clean water? In Phoenix, dehydration isn't just a discomfort; it's a life-threatening issue, especially for our homeless population. Temperatures often soar above 100°F, and without adequate hydration, the risk of severe health complications skyrockets. It’s a silent crisis that doesn’t get the attention it deserves. We often take for granted the simple act of turning on a tap. For some, it’s a luxury they can’t afford. By raising awareness and taking action, we can help ensure that everyone has access to this basic necessity. The Sullivan employees have donated to bring this support to our community. Share your thoughts, experiences, or suggestions in the comments below. Your input could inspire others to take action. hashtag#CommunitySupport hashtag#Homelessness hashtag#WaterIsLife
Our team recently donated 48 cases of water – totaling 1,920 bottles toward the Code Red campaign through the Phoenix Rescue Mission, collecting water to pass out to the homeless community in Phoenix. Phoenix hits record temperatures every summer and can be so dangerous for individuals getting dehydrated. Be bold, take risks, make a commitment, identify a deadline, and get out of your prison. Dan Pallotta, author of Uncharitable, highlights the struggles with non-profits, the way we think, and how donors view overhead. We are put into a box, a prison, unable to escape because of the ideology?created around non-profits. Huge thanks to The Abraham House for bringing Dan to our area to hear firsthand how we take action. Choose to be bold and dare to dream bigger. Become organized to better solve the problems within our community. We need to come together, collaborate, and become committed to taking action! #BeBOLD

Mass shootings and hate crimes in temples, mosques, synagogues, and other religious buildings and non-profit institutions have increased over the last two decades. NO ONE should feel like they are risking their safety while practicing their faith or volunteering at a non-profit institution. We’re on a mission to stop mass shootings by implementing our best-in-class #gundetection solution to take action against tragedies in places of worship, community centers, and faith-based schools across the country. YOU can help us with this mission by adding our gun detection #technology to your existing security cameras—a proactive opportunity to protect your community and your property: <<https://lnkd.in/g7E78YnJ>> If you have 15 cameras or less, ZeroEyes One could be a great fit for your organization: <<https://lnkd.in/gTnBZHfw>> #nonprofit #gunviolence

Crisis, such as the tragic fires in and around Ruidoso, reveal the character of people and businesses. Such as the extreme leadership of MATI’s Godfrey Enjady working tirelessly with friends, such as PVT’s James Meyers, to restore vital communications within and outside of their own service areas. Or the local businesses working together to meet the needs of those impacted. Local businesses matter and will be there when needed. I so appreciate the efforts of PVT’s employees organizing this effort to bring supplies to those in need. Chris & Tabitha Davis , Cassie Florez , Daniel Rodriguez, SHRM-CP and Ross Horner.
PVT would like to thank people in our communities for dropping off donations, and special thanks to Oasis Christian Fellowship in Carlsbad. Last night, PVT employees delivered the first truckload to the Mescalero Community Center. Two more truckloads to follow.
