Mallory Roth and Tania Ulloa-Olavarrieta from the Columbus Chamber of Commerce hosted the inspiring Cultivate US Networking event, which unveiled the exciting new Cultivate US program. This innovative initiative aims to empower local businesses, fostering their growth and contributing to the vitality of the region. To participate, businesses must meet two criteria: be located in Franklin County (Central Ohio) and have foreign-born owners or operators. This ensures that the New and Emerging Citizens communities, whose growth is important to the Columbus Region’s economic development, are supported. Cultivate US will provide 120 small businesses with free resources, focusing on four essential areas: workforce development, business navigation, supplier connections, and support services. As the first program of its kind in the U.S., Cultivate US represents a groundbreaking opportunity for small businesses to thrive. In addition to Cultivate US, other valuable small business imperatives include the Urban Business Connection (UBC), Accelerate Columbus, Elevate Cbus, Careers 2 Classrooms, and Next Level DEIA, all aimed at generating growth and inclusivity in the Columbus Region.
