Don't ask what all these buttons do. Read this instead. This is for a typical network College Basketball game. I have 5 ME's plus an eDPM. Only 2 feeds are built for this show: Dirty Program, Clean Program ME1: Split Screen, 2 Boxes, Squeezebacks ME2: Replays and Replay Zooms. (I use effects dissolves to zoom into one of 9 regions in the replay, if i guess wrong, I can move it on the fly by selecting a different emem) ME3: Main Camera Cuts, graphics, and all transitions. This is where the show is primarily cut. All transitions happen on ME3. ME3 Secondary: Clean feeds. This follows ME3 Primary without any keyers. If there were cameras with virtual signage, or any pre-composited graphics, this ME would substitute the clean version of the same camera. PGM: Mostly acts as a router and downstream keyer. ME3 is on PGM 90% of the time. I key the spotbox/transitions on PGM, network bug, telestrator, and use any leftover keyers for alternate feeds, if needed. ME4: This ME isn't on the panel but has the game clock/shot clock over camera 1 as a feed for tape. This would be used in a buzzer-beater situation ME4 Secondary: I use this like a spare keyer for promos to fly them off screen. eDPM: Crops/positions the clocks to feed to ME4, and to the Score bug as a backup if the data feeds goes down. Aux Busses: Several aux busses feeds monitors at the commentator's table. This is a relatively simple show. Things get more complicated when virtual signage and international feeds are introduced.
