You won’t believe what I discovered using a heat map on an e-commerce site! ?? I was helping a friend in improving their ecommerce store. We recently added a feature, but users were barely engaging with it — and the heat map made that crystal clear. ????????’?? ???????? ????????????????: On the checkout page, we had a "Save for Later" button that we thought would help users. But when we ran the heat map analysis, the results were shocking — only a tiny fraction of users were clicking it. Most users completely ignored it, focusing on the main "Checkout" button instead and later on abandoning the cart. With this insight, we made some changes: ? We moved the “Save for Later” button to a more prominent spot. ? Added a brief description to clarify its purpose. ? Reduced clutter around the checkout area, making the page more user-friendly. The result?? Engagement with the “Save for Later” feature shot up by ~12%, and checkout completion rates improved too! ?? This experience showed me how powerful AI-driven tools like heat maps can be in understanding user behavior and making impactful product changes. Incorrect cataloging in online shopping platforms can have an impact on both the customer experience and internal operational and business workflow. In this case, a table fan was listed under the non-veg snacks section on Zepto. ?? Cost of Inaction: If incorrect cataloging continues - Delivery Management: Incorrect cataloging can lead to confusion at the cold storage, delivery errors, and higher operational costs. - Impact on Accounting: Mislabeling affects inventory tracking, leading to a big impact on financial records. - Data Analytics: Inaccurate data hampers consumer insights and decision-making and impacts product roadmap. ??
