Repeat it without me: Crowdsourcing the T1 mapping common ground via the ISMRM reproducibility challenge. https://lnkd.in/g8ksZQgC We asked participants to reproduce a landmark 2010 article on gold standard T1 mapping by Jo?lle Barral and colleagues. The original article shared a detailed MRI protocol as well as code to process the data, so we were curious if this is sufficient to produce consistent T1 maps in phantoms and in healthy humans. We received 95 datasets and showed that variability within a submission (orange) was much lower than the variability between submissions (green). We developed a NeuroLibre reproducible preprint (and an award-winning dashboard) to drive home the point that we need more than paper to reproduce a quantitative MRI protocol. https://lnkd.in/gK76j8Hg Going forward, we recommend using vendor-neutral sequences and community standards ???????? ?????????????????????? ???? ??????????????????????. Who wouldn't want to be selected for space travel? But, anyone can be fitted for an astronaut suit; being able to push the envelope of space during every travel is a different story. If you aren't willing to punch the throttle in #PBM, then this isn't the business for you. Lives are involved, and time is our enemy, not our friend. This year's Society for the Advancement of Patient Blood Management, Inc. (SABM) theme for the Patient Blood Management stakeholders is much needed and very encouraging. However, when it comes to marketing directly to the #public, the take-off time for awareness is much different. The public is not as patient as the medical field. Easy and quick access to content is crucial in the digital environment. The patient experience doesn't begin in the hospital; it starts with the search for the right blood management program, often local. While the needs for PBM are rising, this may not be fast enough for the public, who need to reach higher information altitudes quickly.
