What Next for Farmers?
The mass strike on 11th December marks a pivotal moment for our farmers. For years, they’ve been the backbone of this nation, feeding millions while enduring increasing pressure from government policies. Yet now, with the new tax raid on farming, the situation has reached breaking point.
Talking hasn’t worked. Protests haven’t moved the needle. So, what's left? I dread to even ask, but could halting food supplies to supermarkets be the next move? Imagine the shelves of your local store bare—not because of global supply chains, but because farmers, pushed to the brink, have no other choice but to wield their greatest leverage: the food we all depend on.
Would that finally get the government to sit up, listen, and act? Or are there other weapons in the farmers' arsenal?
This isn't just about farmers—it’s about food security, fairness, and the future of rural Britain. What’s your take? What should farmers do next? Is radical action the only answer, or are there better options?
Let’s not wait for a crisis to wake us up. Share your thoughts. Let’s stand with the people who put food on our tables.
