??? Conflict is inevitable, but how we handle it shapes the health of our teams and relationships. Our Healing and Reconciliation Pathway? empowers both survivors and perpetrators to take the first critical step: Acknowledgement. Survivors reclaim their power, while perpetrators acknowledge the harm caused. This framework creates space for understanding, trust-building, and ultimately, healing within teams and communities. I've learned a lot from Gretchen over the years on this topic and others. If you're looking for training on intersectional stigmatization (and you probably should be), please check out her work with Jayden:
My colleague Jayden Carr and I trained members of MHCGM staff to teach the latest version of our Responding to Intersectional Stigmatization: Strategies for Health Professionals training curriculum recently and they offer it several times a year to staff and community. With the level of overdoses at an all-time high, and the public health crisis of rising rates of suicide among Black youth and young adults, it is more important than ever to learn the most effective strategies for structural and clinical changes to address the various forms of discrimination.
