PwC's 27th Annual Global CEO survey shared numerous companies are taking steps towards reinvention. CEOs identified "Change in customer preferences" as the second factor driving or expected to drive changes in the way their company creates, delivers, and captures value in the last five years or next three years - for example, microcredentials versus certificates/degrees. Related to barriers inhibiting reinvention that are within the CEO's realm of influence, #3 is "Lack of skills in my company's workforce" - think upskilling/reskilling/coskilling. Contact me to explore how OSU's customized tuition benefit programs can prime your team for success. Michelle McAllaster

Texas is stepping into a new era of workforce development, spearheaded by our #TXcommunitycolleges. As the landscape of work evolves, it's crucial to bridge the gap between skills and job opportunities, and HB 8 allows colleges to do just that. In a recent conversation with the Texas Standard, our President & CEO, Ray Martinez said that the work continues, "We’re going to have to ensure that the population has access to skills-based training and that we align the needs of our employers to ensure that there’s alignment between the skills that are needed for the jobs that are being created and the workforce that we have." By aligning education with industry needs, we're not just preparing for the future — we're shaping it.??????#SkillsTraining #WorkforceDevelopment #CCPathToSuccess READ MORE:? https://lnkd.in/gkxJzv7A

It’s time we talk about the elephant in the room when it comes to discussions around college value: Jobs. The National Conference of State Legislatures brief explores how some states are working to simplify the connection between college and careers through coordinated career pipeline and pathway programs, non-degree credential offerings, financial aid expansions, and other comprehensive support systems. Higher education brings value to students, communities, states, and economies. Let’s work to actualize this value by affirming to our nation’s students the opportunity that comes with a degree. https://lnkd.in/eDXvfKyb
