By the end of 2024 we will have run around 24 national virtual events plus specific local workshops both virtually and in person in addition. In 2024, the total number of events we will have hosted is likely to be around 35. It takes a lot of time and resources to put this many events/workshops on and we're grateful to all our guest speakers who support us and of course to everyone who takes the time out of their busy calendars to attend. Almost all our virtual events are recorded creating enduring materials of support for businesses to access and use whenever they need to and all our events/workshops are created based on the evidence based intelligence we gather through working with the marketplace and procurement/commissioner colleagues. We hope that what we're doing is useful. If the attendee registrations, access to the resources, and feedback through our post event surveys are an indication, then we think we're doing ok. From Client to Career Shift: My Unexpected Journey at Zharkwave I never thought that meeting Schiavon Sara who was my client back then, would totally flip my career path. After I had already moved on from my previous job, Sara reached out and offered me a position at Zharkwave, the digital marketing agency where she works, due to our past collaboration. Our discussions about her brand’s needs at that time eventually led me to join her team. That's how I ended up as an account executive at Zharkwave. It's been an incredible journey, seriously pushing me to level up in all sorts of ways. The flexibility to work from anywhere has been a significant advantage, allowing me to be just as productive, if not more. One of the most coolest projects was with a fashion designer from Vienna. We put together this digital campaign that really took off, bringing in more sales and international buzz. Seeing our plans come to life like that was amazing. At first, dealing with international clients was a challenge. My English wasn't up to par, and I'd get nervous in meetings. But thanks to a solid team and lots of practice, I've come a long way. Now, those calls are actually fun. What I dig about Zharkwave is that I'm not just some go-between. I get to dive into every aspect, throwing out ideas, solving problems, making sure everything vibes with what the client wants. It feels like I'm part of something bigger, not just clocking in and out. Reflecting on it, every hiccup has been a growth moment. From those awkward conversations to feeling more confident, this journey's been eye-opening.
