I constantly meet founders who say, “AI is going to replace doctors.” But that’s not really what’s happening. After building AI products at Meta, I spent the past year working with doctors launching private practices and turning those insights into what we’ve built at Vibrant.? My take? ?? AI isn’t replacing doctors—it’s dramatically changing what makes a great one. The best doctors are turning to functional, integrative, and longevity medicine and they aren’t just diagnosing and prescribing, they connect the dots across labs, lifestyle and personal history: ? Piecing together data from labs, wearables, and intake forms ? Adjusting treatments in real-time based on how patients actually respond ? Personalizing care based on lifestyle, culture, and root cause The problem? They’re drowning in admin. Instead of focusing on understanding patients, they’re stuck with disconnected systems, manual research, and hours of paperwork. The trend I see is clear:?? ?? Doctors who embrace AI will deliver better care—those who don’t will fall behind.? I’ve seen it firsthand. Doctor A uses AI to interpret a mix of patient data before the visit, so they start with a clear picture and spend the visit focused on the patient. Afterward, they generate a personalized care plan in minutes and wrap up notes and orders in just 5 minutes with the help of AI agents. Doctor B spends 45 minutes manually reviewing intake forms, labs, and charts before the visit. Half the visit is spent filling in missing context, and post-visit admin takes another 40+ minutes. They need another visit to finalize the care plan—leading to even more admin. The difference? Efficiency, connection, and better patient outcomes. This is why we built Vibrant — yep, Doctor A is powered by us. This is the future of private practice: ?? AI in the background. ?? Doctors fully present. ?? Patients getting care that fits their life. If you’re a doctor building a practice like this, let’s chat.

Thanks, Sunita, completely agree. It’s exciting to see how AI is truly empowering clinicians, and this shift is only just beginning. I’m seeing similar opportunities in law, where AI is increasingly freeing up time to focus on the more strategic work that delivers the most value to clients.

> AI isn’t replacing doctors—it’s dramatically changing what makes a great one. exactly, I think especially when it comes to healthcare professionals, AI won't be replacing those key roles anytime soon. I see a lot of AI hype out there - which leaves some thinking its here to replace, not enhance. I see the same with pharmacy - too much admin work, not enough manpower to support - AI will help with being able to focus on patient care and clinical work.

This is a great perspective! AI is not about replacing doctors, it’s about empowering them to focus on what truly matters: patient care. By automating the administrative tasks and enhancing data analysis, AI gives doctors the time and tools to make more personalized, informed decisions. The future of healthcare is clearly moving toward a model where AI supports doctors, allowing them to dive deeper into patient history and real-time responses. Vibrant’s approach seems like a game-changer, helping doctors stay connected with patients while reducing the burden of manual work. Exciting to see how this will evolve!

Besides MDs and DOs and NPs, can RNs, LVNs, and affiiated healthcare professionals, and discharge planners also benefit? And can the system help with Treatment Authorization Requests for insurance? And how do you deal with “‘yet another’ syndrome “ in which busy healthcare professionals can be reluctant to learn ‘more IT’?

Do you see a future state where AI replaces some human roles? For example I believe that AI will turn data into a care plan. Agree with you that today that is then filtered by a human but eventually it will be good enough to deliver it directly to the patient.

Sunita Mohanty Great post! Yes, this is definitely a good use of AI to benefit doctors (and thus all of us) today and in the future. I'm kind of amazed at how old school some of the doctors I visit are....all paper, mostly reactive to my aches and pains vs proactively helping me avoid those aches and pains....
