So proud…?? Emily your resilience and determination is admirable! Recovery is something I share a passion for. I have never ran a marathon or done a Hyrox, which some may believe it’s the only justified reason to have an Ice bath ??. Recovery in fact is never linear and can look different from person to person, but the power is prevelent in everyone’s life. For people like me, who were naive to the vast benefits Recovery Therapy can offer - here’s just a few: ????♀?The power of Recovery: From Physical Therapy to Mental Wellness????♀? 1. Water Therapy ?? PHENOMENAL for inflammation, balancing cortisol, and improving circulation. Enhancing energy levels, cardiovascular health and pain relief. 2. Infrared Saunas ?? Infrared saunas are a fantastic way to detoxify the body and boost recovery. The heat penetrates deeper layers of tissue, promoting cellular repair and blood circulation. The heat is also wonderful for unwinding and relaxing, especially on those extra chilly days. Amazing for easing muscles, relieving tension and activating the autonomic nervous system. 3. Mental Health Benefits ?? Beyond the physical, these small practices have profound effects on anxiety and mental health. Bridging the connection between mind and body. Stimulating endorphin release and lowering baseline cortisol levels. High cortisol levels can slow down our nervous system functions, including metabolism, immunity, hormone release, and blood pressure, and can significantly affect our mental well-being It is so important to take care of yourself and your body, as little habits can make such a big impact on our overall wellness. Plus, it’s just a lovely wellbeing activity, either solo or with a group! ??Slightly bias, but Emily is nothing short of inspiring. From a young age, she has been business savvy and entrepreneurial - even when it came to lending me a hairband! It fills me with absolute pride, she has now built something so special from a place of pure passion. Reco HQ, the new franchise for people looking to take the reins back on their body, a beautiful contrast to the current market of recovery offerings. And if you have any takeaways, take a moment for your mind & body this weekend???? #mentalhealth #wellbeing #therapy #RecoHQ #recovery #womenempowerment
Okay LinkedIn, it’s about time I properly revealed my new concept and I’m on the hunt to see who can help me ?????? Taking a leaf out of Aimee Smale’s book by being vulnerable on here, sharing my dreams ???? I’m thrilled to announce that I’m currently raising investment for Reco HQ, a Sports Recovery & Wellness Spa designed to make facilities accessible to everyone with a pay-per-session model (see the 15 second vid I made for James Watt!). As we see all the time, there’s a growing awareness on the critical role that recovery and self-care play in both mental and physical wellbeing. There’s established recovery centre models in Australia, America & parts of Asia, but few established in the U.K. Reco HQ will offer these core facilities: infrared & traditional saunas, aromatic steam rooms, contrast water therapy (CWT) featuring hot and cold plunge pools and compression therapy/sports recovery equipment. We’ll also have an onsite cafe serving health foods supporting and backing recovery, using my experience from Jeco Bowl. I’m committed to building a vibrant space where people can host events for their communities to share experiences. Imagine a run club community or brand using the space to bring their members together?! The problem with current facilities in the market? ?? ?? Expensive to access, usually in the form of a session at a physio-style clinic, a spa day or require a health club membership. ?? People enjoy trying different boutique fitness venues and classes, they like the flexibility, and use apps like ClassPass & CLIQ. Being locked into one health club makes this difficult. Some people are more endurance-focused (marathon training, cycling) or like at home workouts, where training is not focused in the gym (might use apps like SHREDDY & Runna) so a stand-alone recovery facility would be of much better value. ?? Some people who have a health club membership, find there is either no proper sports recovery facilities or the few that do, are of low quality; usually very overcrowded and unpleasant. ?? Many sports recovery facilities are built in small rooms (cryo chambers, infrared saunas), where 1-2 people max can use at one time. Not great for community or experience! We aim to be a big open space where communities can come together, creating a vibrant atmosphere. ?? Some wellness and recovery practices require a lot of time and can be boring. Reco HQ will become an easy and enjoyable part of a fitness routine. I’m seeking investors who are as passionate about wellness, fitness, and community as I am. With proven success in international markets, Reco HQ is strategically positioned to bring this sought-after experience to London and the U.K. Fancy a look at the pitch deck/business plan? Send me your email! ?? #RecoHQ #investmentopportunity #femalefounder #wellnessspa #sportsrecovery #community #wellnessindustry #raisinginvestment

Title: "Startup Shenanigans: The Gym Saga" Scene 1: The Uncontactable CEO [We see a bustling startup office with employees running around frantically. The CEO, Dave, walks in with a protein shake in hand, looking determined.] Dave: Alright, team, remember, four times a week, I'm off the grid. No calls, no emails, no carrier pigeons. Employee 1: But Dave, what if there's an emergency? Dave: The only emergency I'm dealing with is the lack of gains, folks. Gym time is sacred. [The employees exchange bewildered looks as Dave struts off to the gym.] Scene 2: Instagram Fiasco [Cut to Dave's Instagram post where he proudly declares his gym schedule. Comments flood in criticising his dedication to fitness over work.] Commenter 1: Wow, Dave, way to abandon your team for a few bicep curls. Commenter 2: I'd love to see your business plan for bench pressing, Dave. Dave: [reading comments] Ah, the haters fuel my squats. Scene 3: Heart-to-Heart with Matt Ford [Dave sits down with Matt Ford, a fellow entrepreneur, discussing the pressures of running a startup.] Matt: Dave, I heard about your gym escapades. Aren't you worried about neglecting your business? Dave: Matt, my friend, a healthy body equals a healthy business. Plus, have you seen these glutes? Matt: [chuckling] Fair point. But seriously, self-care is crucial. Can't argue with those stats. Scene 4: The Gym Revelation [Dave is pumping iron when a lightbulb moment hits him.] Dave: Eureka! It's not about the six-pack; it's about the ROI on mental health! [The gym-goers around him nod in agreement as they continue their workouts.] Scene 5: The Epiphany [Dave addresses his team with newfound wisdom.] Dave: Alright, team, listen up. The key to success isn't just in our business strategy, but in our self-care routine. So, let's hit the gym together and crush those spreadsheets! [The team cheers, realizing they have a boss who cares about both gains and goals.] The End. [Closing shot of Dave bench pressing with his team spotting him, a true startup hero.]

If physical activity is the lifeblood of health in this country, our facilities and green and blue spaces are the bones on which our health is built. Across the country, gyms, pools, leisure centres, community sports grounds, rivers, parks, and school sport facilities are essential in providing safe spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to be physically active. The health of our nation depends on these facilities and spaces thriving, and that they can be accessible places within and for communities. Sport England’s recent Social Value report found sport, recreation and physical activity had a yearly social value of £107.2 billion. This includes £96.7 billion in annual wellbeing value, as well as a further £10.5 billion in wider savings to the health and social care system a year. However, recent years have presented a series of challenges to the maintenance of and access to our facilities and these spaces. Amongst other things, Covid, energy crises, and reduced budgets (especially at local Government level) have depleted reserves and placed many facilities and spaces in a difficult position. Through backing facilities on the high streets through business rate reform, providing long-term security for and investment in public leisure and sports equipment or venues, and protecting and enhancing the quality and accessibility of community facilities, our green and blue spaces, and all places that support physical activity levels, this Budget presents an opportunity to back the sector’s ability to deliver on the Government’s priorities. The Government can send a clear signal that it is unlocking the potential of sport, recreation and physical activity to boost growth, productivity and create a healthier nation. By securing the long-term future of our facilities and spaces we can increase physical activity levels, ensure future generations are able to be active, and can make sure that the social value of sport and physical activity continues for decades to come. Eight years ago, Luke Hartelust was an oil rig worker, stationed 450 kilometers off the coast of Western Australia, living a life far removed from the health and wellness sphere. The turning point came when he decided to take a leap of faith, leaving his job to introduce F45, a then-emerging Australian fitness franchise, to the Southern Californian market. With no prior experience in the U.S., no contacts, and driven solely by grit and a profound belief in his vision, Luke embarked on a challenging yet rewarding path. Navigating through uncharted territories, Luke's leadership and strategic acumen saw the rapid scaling of F45 locations across Southern California. This venture not only reshaped his career but also laid the groundwork for his next groundbreaking project, MNLY. MNLY, conceived from Luke’s deep understanding of men's health needs and the potential of AI, offers a precision health product and platform specifically designed for men. This innovative venture uses AI to pioneer solutions for men's health issues, a field often overshadowed in the health and wellness industry. MNLY stands as a testament to Luke’s commitment to making a significant impact in the realm of personal wellness. At the core of MNLY is a philosophy that resonates with Luke's personal journey: understanding that to make real changes, one must first recognize the unknowns and the unmet needs. This principle, “men don’t know what they don’t know,” underpins the mission of MNLY, offering tailored health and wellness guidance that many men are unaware they need. Luke's days are a blend of entrepreneurial rigor and personal commitment to health and wellness. His ability to juggle the demands of leading a thriving fitness franchise and a cutting-edge health tech company is not just impressive but inspiring. In Luke’s story, we see the essence of true leadership – the ability to turn challenges into opportunities and a vision into reality. His experience with F45 and MNLY provides invaluable insights into overcoming adversity, strategic thinking, and the importance of understanding one's market. These lessons are not just vital for business success but are equally applicable in personal development and growth. For you ALL, his journey with F45 and MNLY is more than just a success story. It’s a narrative that showcases the intersection of health technology, entrepreneurial spirit, and the transformative power of understanding and meeting the unspoken needs in men's health. As Luke continues to drive MNLY, his story serves as a powerful reminder of how innovation, resilience, and a deep understanding of one’s audience can create not just a successful business, but a movement that changes lives! In Luke Hartelust's journey, we see the future of men's health and wellness being redefined, one innovative step at a time. Want to know more?
