Dear Friends, After retiring earlier this year from New York Presbyterian Hospital as a chaplain, there was no more important thing to do than to join the Biden Campaign for re-election, and now the Kamala Harris campaign for Presidency. I am part of the Voter Protection Team in Pennsylvania, a group of 20 lawyers making sure that every properly cast ballot is a ballot counted on Election Day. Pennsylvania, as you know, is a key state and a battleground state. To Protect the Vote, we educate voters on the optional ways to vote in PA; we survey the county boards of elections so that we know how each county will administer the election; we operate an English and Spanish hotline for any voter to call with their voting questions and get accurate information; and we will monitor Election Day with poll observers. We cannot protect the election without lots of help from people like you that want to protect the democracy that we’re privileged to have been born into or immigrate to. You can be an out of state volunteer and some of our voter protection roles can be done remotely from your home. We will train you, support you and guide you. And, one day you will be able to share with someone you care about what you did in 2024 to save our democracy and our integrity as a nation.
