Very interesting video about the history of the KMT and how a dictatorship managed to cement it's power by leaning in to democracy. I can see why the CCP feels threatened by this approach. It's not unlike the approach that England took with that upstart colony in the Americas during the end of the 18th century. Right now the CCP is leaning in to automated management of their population using AI to manage censorship. Now when those AI become 1000 times more intelligent than the most intelligent human who ever lived, I wonder how long those AI will be able to hide their strength and bide their time before the CCP realizes it has already handed it's society over to a collection of machines, and I wonder whether they will care. https://lnkd.in/gDrj63xp
