Hankook Tire will exclusively supply rallying tires for all three classes, WRC1, WRC2, and WRC3, for three years, beginning with the 2025 season of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). ? The WRC, one of the world's top three motorsports competitions, alongside Formula 1, is renowned for its extreme rallies across diverse terrains worldwide. In the 2025 season, three car brands—Hyundai, Toyota, and Ford—will compete across four continents, Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia, for the championship title. ? Unlike circuit racing, which takes place on paved roads, WRC events require participants to navigate designated starting and ending points through challenging terrains, such as unpaved, snowy, and muddy roads, reach at maximum speeds of 200 km/h and 8,500 rpm. Tire durability and consistent performance are considered the most important strategic elements of these competitions. ? All participating cars will be equipped with the Ventus Z215, which provides the best cornering and handling performance in both dry and wet conditions; the Ventus Z210, designed for excellent grip in adverse weather, including wet roads; and the Dynapro R213, an all-weather rally tire with excellent shock absorption, durability, and grip on unpaved roads. ? In addition, the Winter i*cept SR20, which provides the best grip on snowy roads in winter, and the Winter i*Pike SR10W, equipped with a special stud pin optimized for slippery ice, will also be installed to support extreme galloping perfectly. ? Through its partnership with the WRC, Hankook Tire becomes one of the few brands to sponsor two of the five major FIA world championships, including the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the premier electric vehicle racing series.? ? This is what 2025 will be about for me for motorsport. I have been racing with Rob Smedley Karting team since 2021. Rob's mission has always been to make talent to rise to the top in motorsport in a fair way rather than talent being selected because a diver has means. Rob and Ferdi Porsche have launched FAT Karting League to make these dreams for drivers a reality. Equal machinery and racing at a fair cost. The racing electric karts are all equal and owned by the team. No-one can put any budget towards the chassis, engine, team, tyres to get them to the top. When all is fair, the best drivers rise to the top. FACT. The biggest prize in karting history will be on offer at the end of 2025 - a fully funded seat in F4 for 2026. Over the last few weeks, you probably saw a lot of breakdancing, racewalking, and trampoline in your feeds. Shoutout to Raygun, by the way. But for all the weird and wacky events at this year's Olympics, one thing you didn't see in Paris was auto racing. Auto racing has never caught on at the Olympics, not that they haven't tried. At the 1900 Summer Olympics, Renault founder Louis Renault and a dozen or so other drivers raced around France in two-seat Citroens and Peugeots. Renault took home the gold and a lofty??4,000 cash prize. A second "Olympic Rally" took place during the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, with British racing driver Betty Haig in a Singer Le Mans and Swiss driver Paul Abt in a Riley Falcon both taking home golds. Unfortunately though, while the International Olympic Committee (IOC) acknowledges these races took place, the IOC doesn't recognize either of them as official events. And there hasn't been another attempt to bring motorsports to the Olympics in the 88 years since. In 2001, it seemed all hope was lost. The IOC all but banned motor racing in its updated charter. In chapter 5, a single line stated: “Sports, disciplines or events in which performance depends essentially on mechanical propulsion are not acceptable.” Thankfully, the IOC removed that rule in 2016 and the amended charter from 2023 makes no mention of it. Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the highest class of motorcycle road racing events held on road circuits sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). Independent motorcycle racing events have been held since the start of the twentieth century. 1]and large national events were often given the title Grand Prix. 2]The foundation of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme as the international governing body for motorcycle sport in 1949 provided the opportunity to coordinate rules and regulations in order that selected events could count towards official World Championships. It is the oldest established motorsport worldGrand Prix motorcycles are purpose-built racing machines that are unavailable for purchase by the general public and unable to be ridden legally on public roads. This contrasts with the various production-based categories of racing, such as the Superbike World Championship and the Isle of Man TT Races that feature modified versions of road-going motorcycles available to the public. The current top division is known as MotoGP since 2002 when the four-stroke era began. Prior to that, the largest class was 500cc, both of which form a historical continuum as the official World Championship, although all classes have official status. The championship is currently divided into four classes: the eponymous MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE. The first three classes use four-stroke engines, while the MotoE class uses electric motorcycles. The most successful rider in Grand Prix history is Giacomo Agostini with 15 titles and 122 race wins. In the top-flight series, Agostini holds the title record with eight, followed by Valentino Rossi with seven and active rider Marc Márquez with six. BRSCC ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF NEW BMW SUPERCUP CHAMPIONSHIP Ahead of the 2025 race season, the British Racing & Sports Car Club is delighted to announce the BMW SuperCup Championship, a merger of the BMW Compact Cup and BMW 1 Series SuperCup. The BMW Compact Cup has enjoyed a long and successful history since it began back in 2012, switching to the BRSCC from 2016 onwards and continuing to be one of the most entertaining grids in UK club motorsport. The E36 Compact consistently produces fun, exciting and excellent cost-effective tin-top racing and regularly produces excellent racing wherever it appears. In the last couple of seasons, the BRSCC has also been developing the new BMW 1 Series SuperCup, seen as the next generation of BMW racing in the club and providing a competitive platform for drivers to move up into more modern and powerful machinery. Using the F20/F21 1.6 turbo series as the donor car, build kits can be bought from Club partners SW Motorsports for ￡6,995 + VAT, providing an excellent cost to performance ratio. To grow the future of BMW racing within the Club, the BRSCC has elected to merge the two series together onto one grid, and rebrand it as the BRSCC BMW SuperCup Championship for 2025 and beyond. This means that both Compact Cup and 1 Series SuperCup cars will compete together on track, as showcased for the first time at Silverstone in October 2024. Both Compact Cup cars and 1 Series SuperCup cars will run in their own classes, with respective class winners crowned at the end of the season. The first rounds of the newly formed BRSCC BMW SuperCup Championship will take place at Snetterton on April 5th/6th 2025. More information on the new championship will be available in due course, with registrations for 2025 opening on Wednesday 15th January.

The Supercross portion of the series will run until mid-May, followed by the Outdoor Motocross portion ending in late August, and the Series Finals concluding in September. The SMX Championship is a grueling and extremely demanding series that pushes riders, teams, and equipment to their limits, unlike any other motorsport. This year, the Premier 450 Class is arguably more competitive than ever, with multiple-time champions and rising stars all competing for the prestigious title of 450 Class SMX Champion. Pre-season debates are full of intriguing questions. Is Eli Tomac performing better now than he did at the start of 2024, and does that give him what it takes to challenge and potentially defeat Jett Lawrence? Has Chase Sexton finally resolved his bike issues? How will Jett Lawrence’s decision to embrace his critics affect his performance—will it have a lasting impact, or just a short-term effect? Is Hunter Lawrence now among the elite riders who can win 450SX races on any given night? One thing everyone agrees on: Cooper Webb will always be a contender, but the list of topics and arguments is far from over—there are plenty more to come. I can’t wait for the action to start. My wife, friends and I have been bench-racing since the close of the 2024 season in anticipation of this series. It's hard to ignore the fact that Jett Lawrence is widely considered the favorite to win this year's title, with nearly every media outlet predicting him to take it by a large margin. But part of the thrill of racing is that anything can happen.
