Leading a team that’s on the frontlines 24/7, 365 days a year, is no small feat. At the YWCA, the stakes are high, and emotions can run even higher. The work we do is meaningful and life-changing, but it’s also taxing, requiring resilience, compassion, and teamwork every single day. That’s why the little things matter. (Literally the tiniest things) One day, a staff member started scattering small figurine toys around the workplace. Tiny dinosaurs peeking out from behind a coffee pot, a miniature snowman perched on a desk during the holidays—it was simple, unexpected, and whimsical. And it caught on. Now, it’s become a quiet tradition. These small, playful gestures have a way of lighting up even the most challenging days. They remind us to look up, laugh, and connect with the joy that’s so easy to lose sight of in the midst of hard work. This tradition may have started as a joke, but it’s a reminder: even in the hardest jobs, a little joy goes a long way. Holiday Fun with a Purpose: Trivia About Coworkers! This holiday season, I’ve been playing a game that I plan to keep going well into the new year: Coworker Trivia! The idea is simple but impactful—challenging my team with trivia not just about holiday traditions but also about each other. It’s been a fun and engaging way to spark conversations, uncover shared interests, and get to know one another on a deeper level. In the fast-paced world of logistics (or any industry), it’s easy to focus solely on work, but building personal connections can make a huge difference in team dynamics and overall morale. As I challenge my team, I also challenge myself to learn more about the amazing individuals I work with every day. Let’s make 2025 the year we not only meet our goals but also strengthen our bonds. Some questions I asked? 1) Which two people are transplants to St. pete from the same area, but not from our corporate location? Answer: City was Charleston, SC 2) which month has the most birthday shared between office staff? Answer: April 3) how many people in the office have a twin? When we started our re-branding process almost a decade ago, we knew that we wanted our culture, identity, and atmosphere to be centered around the concept of being a 'Third Place' for our clients. Before we landed on the name 'TREBEL' , M3P LLC was formed, which stands for My Third Place. We had a simple yet powerful vision: We want TREBEL to be everyone’s 'Third Place'. Traditionally, we all have two main places: our first place is home, and our second place is work. But there’s also a third place — a space where we go to be social, unwind, and connect with others outside of home and work.
