BOUNCE THEM INTO A SECURE JOB – Here’s an idea. Instead of complaining – sometimes wrongly – about teenagers running amok in shopping centres and other public areas, why not encourage them to become security staff? Through its own Gov.UK site, the Government is currently showcasing over 12,000 roles in #security, so clearly there is a bit of a skills shortage - https://lnkd.in/eHcRK9Gr Whilst the familiar image of the bouncer or guard, is one of enforcer, the job actually entails helping the public with everything from directions to aiding them with medical needs. Even when not in the public limelight, those who guard buildings are given tremendous responsibility. For young people, these skills can lead to careers in the #police and other emergency services or customer-facing or even persuasive roles like #sales. Instead of bouncing young people out, perhaps we could show them the path to vital and often caring careers? Ready to give a young person an opportunity? Dear All, We feel that there is a huge fraud going on in India in the name of Kuwait Construction Company. A similar letter (appointment) was received just on the basis of few telephonic conversions (022-41891049, 022-41891248, 022-41891249, 022-41891250, 022-41891251 and latest 080-42362687). They claim themselves as hr experts of Kuwait construction company. There is a fake call from a company stating that they are calling from Kuwait Construction company. Take 2-3 rounds of Interview and after the interview, they will share the offer letter with you. Here is the catch, they will insist you to get some courses done as for this position, you should have a technical certification. for that certification you have to pay INR 3 – 4 Lakh. ?? Warning: This is a scam. Do not entertain their calls, and certainly do not pay any money. They are exploiting job seekers by creating false hopes and taking advantage of our desire for career advancement. If you encounter this or any similar situation: - Do not provide any personal information. - Do not make any payments. You could increase your salary in a federal government job. A security guard earning $20 an hour made the switch and doubled his salary. Security guard jobs can be like retail jobs, you never intend to stay long but then years pass. As a security guard he did record-keeping, report writing, problem solving and had technology proficiency. He was tired of the security guard life, so he focused on the 0080 job series, Security Adminsitration. ?He applied 59 times over 3 months ?Referred 28 times ?Interviewed 3 times? ?And recieved 2 job offers He's now a Physical Security Specialist at the Department of Defense in New York. Not just that be now he'll have less exposure to risk and physical danger. There are people in similar situations that never thought changing career paths was an option. If you feel stuck in a dead-end job or if you're making under 60 - 65k a year. Consider exploring different government jobs that could fit your experience. #governmentjobs #govtjobs #usajobs

Why are some organizations/companies in PNG still including police clearance (PC) and medical reports (MR) as application requirements? What if the applicant met the position requirements but was disregarded due to not proving the PC and MR. Why can't the current HR personnel in those organizations challenge the status-quo? You can't just say, "it's a policy or procedure and has to be adhered to." You got to be realistic. You got to reason out why these documents are required and at what stage of the recruitment process they are required. Remember: Police Clearances and Medical Reports are not free. It involves cost. You got to have empathy for the job seeker. By the way, I applaud those organizations who require ONLY the selected candidate(s) to provide the PC and MR as pre-employment requirements - this is how it should be done.
