Bravo to this team as well as to all other research teams around the world bulding strong science to eventually inform policy-making. The Global AMR R&D Hub estimates that only 6% of R&D projects are cross-sectoral. Let’s help this number grow!!

This has important consequences for bias in drug discovery - and ultimately patient treatments - as genetics is a key driver for new target identification ???? In light of the continued mpox outbreak (formerly known as monkeypox), Pathoplexus launched a database today for sharing mpox genomic sequencing data. These data are essential for analyzing and understanding the spread and evolution of the virus. They are of high value for both public health and science and with the new database, Pathoplexus aims to contribute to the rapid sharing of the data. As with other organisms, you can share data openly immediately or request that data be Restricted-Use for up to 1 year.
