???? ?????????????? ???????? ???? ???????? ?? ?????? ?????????????????? And they were wrong for doing so I was interviewing to refill a Teamlead position in a rather large corporate. First two interviews went pretty well but in the third interview, with my future team, things went sideways. My predecessor got promoted to a different part of the company and me, trying to figure out what I was getting myself into, asked the other teamleads if they currently had any issues with my team that I should be aware of. Reluctantly they told me that in the past, my future team switched to working in a scrum style fashion and some rather unpretty situations arose where urgent tasks got delayed at least one scrum iteration due to that. I went through a similar situation with a team I was leading before. We switched over to a scrum style mode of work to finally have some predictability in what we would be working on. Unfortunately that was not feasable with the company and the other teams and our role in all of this. We were a supporting team with ?????? ?????? being to ???????????? ?????? ?????????? ?????????? ???? ?????? ?????????? ???????? ????????. We found that 80% of what we worked on in the sprint was ?????????????????? ????????. I get why the potential new team would have made the decision. Them being in a similar, supportive role though, I could tell they probably ran into lots of issues with that approach. ?????????????? ???? ?????? ?????????? ??????????????????.. ???? ???????????? ?????????????? At the end of the hour, one of them had one final question: How would you handle the situation we have with us working in a scrum style fashion while the other teams do not? Apparently this was very important to them and the one that asked me this, did not like my answer I think. I talked about my past experiences and how therefore I got to the following conclusion: ?????????? ???? ?? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ???????? ????????????. Reason being, from what I can tell by the department structure, is to ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ???? ?????? ????????????????????. Unfortunately that means, if there is urgent requests, you can certainly argue about priority and how to communicate this with more lead time in order to make those tasks more plannable, but what you can not argue about is that certain requests need to get done asap and will not be able to wait until you finish your iteration. There is things you can establish in your scrum flow like a fastlane etc, that represents that. Then again I would not change anything in their flow without properly understanding the context. This was just my general thoughts about the issue. ?? ?????? ?????? ?????? ?????? ??????. What do you think? Was staying candid the right approach? How could I have handled that question better?

How to fail in an #agile Interview Topic: #TDD ???? Interviewer: "Can you explain how Test Driven Development (TDD) is integrated with Scrum?" ???? Candidate: "In Scrum, TDD isn’t required. We mainly focus on completing the user stories and testing comes later, after development is done." ???? Interviewer: "But what if bugs arise in the later stages, or a story isn’t fully functional? How does TDD help in reducing rework?" ???? Candidate: "We would just fix the issues when they come up. TDD might slow down the team initially, so we don't always focus on it." ???? Interviewer: "Hmm, but doesn’t fixing bugs late in the sprint create a rush to meet deadlines? How would you avoid last-minute issues?" ?? Good Response could be: ??
