One of the biggest issues business owners, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs face, is creating space and time to think about their business. And even if they do have the space, they don't know how to start. You are not alone. The consequences of not being able to think about your business include: 1?? reactive decision making, which has negative consequences on cashflow; 2???no clear plan, so instead, we get busy being busy, hoping that our actions will lead to money. This is like gambling or throwing mud on the wall and hoping it sticks; and 3?? hiring the wrong people that causes damage to the culture, cohesion and joyfulness of the company. This can be avoided by going through an intentional process to create ideas and then your action plan. Every person is a leader and every leader at every level of an organisation must be spending time allowing their brain to pause, think and brainstorm ideas and create an action plan. I am not an overnight success, I am a well planned success. I am not surprised by what I have or don't have. I intentionally create everything then go all in with the ideas that give me joy. The greatest lesson I have learned(so far) through entrepreneurship is that you can't build something great by yourself. Early on, I thought the exact opposite. I thought I could do it all and grow the business on my own! It took years for me to correct this mindset. Through self-development and business books/podcasts, I discovered that almost all great businesses are built by a team of people and not the "one-man show." This discovery was eye opening for me because creating and building a great business was and is something I desire in my life. Now, fast forward a few years, almost all my focus is on building the team! My focus is on 'How can I find the right person for this gap?' or 'What else can we provide for our team so they can succeed?' or 'How can we help this individual accomplish their personal goals?' or 'What do I need to be doing as a leader to set the standard for them?' or 'Where can we improve as a team?' or 'How can I create an experience for our people that they can't find anywhere else?' My job is to find the people, align our visions, and facilitate a culture of excellence. The team creates the greatness!
