Professor Ulrica Nilsson was in the spotlight yesterday where she discussed her research with clinicians at the “lunch with an expert”: “The recovery of patients after surgery is a complex and individualized process, involving not only physical symptoms but also emotional, social, and habitual factors. I think it’s important to have a comprehensive understanding of all these aspects in order to better support and understand the patient. And your clients are no different. They want a specialist. And when you niche, you specialise and that’s when you start attracting the best clients. The ones that love what you do and value what you do. Niching can take time as you may need to gradually ‘lose’ clients that no longer fit your niche to make room for clients you love.
