Dear Employers,
As job seekers, we understand the competitive landscape and the challenges in hiring. However, it would be immensely helpful if you clearly communicated your sponsorship policies in job postings/rejection letters.
Can we do something about this? For example, a dedicated section for Visa Sponsorship Availability in job listings, similar to the Hybrid/Remote and Full-time/Part-time fields. This section could include options like:
No Sponsorship Available, Sponsorship Available (with checkboxes for specific visa types like H-1B, F1, etc.)
Additionally, a filter for Visa Sponsorship Availability on job search pages would allow candidates to find positions that align with their visa situations quickly. I have applied to 100s of applications on LinkedIn, and it's incredibly frustrating to see the same roles repeatedly reposted, mainly when I've felt like a perfect match. I wonder if I'm not a suitable match or if it's purely due to sponsorship situations.
To all international students and those on temporary work visas, how are you navigating this?
LinkedIn, let's work together for a more efficient hiring environment!!
