My journey to founding NutriXQ is deeply personal.
At 14, I embarked on my first diet, kickstarting years of trying every eating trend imaginable. Even nutrition school couldn't break this cycle. I fell into a pattern of binge eating followed by extreme exercise and calorie restriction. It took a near-death experience with a DVT and pulmonary embolism to shake me awake.
As I recovered, I began to appreciate my body for its resilience. But the journey wasn't over. Doctors warned me that genetic mutations that caused the blood clots might make pregnancy difficult or impossible.
Despite occasional struggles with body image, I persevered. Then, defying all odds, I became pregnant easily - twice! Two smooth pregnancies, two healthy babies, born naturally. My body, which I had doubted for so long, performed miracles.
This experience was my epiphany: Our bodies are truly amazing!
As a nutritionist and scientist who's studied metabolism extensively, I realized I had been a victim of toxic diet culture. Now, as a mother to a daughter, I'm determined to break this cycle.
That's why I founded NutriXQ. I envision a world where children learn to nourish their bodies and minds from an early age. Where we don't need health scares or life-changing events to appreciate our bodies.
NutriXQ is my contribution to building this world. It's a platform for nutrition education for all ages, because it's not about societal standards - it's about our health, our lives, and our happiness.
If you believe in this vision, follow NutriXQ. Share our message. Let's revolutionize how we think about nutrition and body image, one person at a time.
Together, we can create a healthier, happier future for generations to come.
