Water treatment systems face many challenges in providing safe #DrinkingWater. One notable challenge is removing micropollutants – trace concentrations of pharmaceuticals and personal care products, PFAS and other pollutants – with conventional treatment technology. The development of “next-generation” adsorbents shows promise to effectively remove micropollutants from these systems. We're funding a grant opportunity to support research to develop, test and deploy predictive models for using novel adsorbents to remove emerging micropollutants from water.
