This is the new way of winning elections.

It appears that the Premier has leaned heavily on purely ideological priorities and has abandoned evidence based decision making and major campaign promises. Municipalities complain about GOA over reach with Bill 20. The Mayor of Brooks warns that it will have a chilling effect on Council decisions. There was no campaign promise associated with this over reach. Medical experts complain about wide ranging policy changes proposed without consultation with the Advisory group meant to provide medical advice. Concerns were raised by members of the AHS Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) provincial advisory council in the days after the proposed policies. Bill 18 relates to restrictions on agencies partially funded by the GOA. For decades, these agencies and institutions have worked collaboratively with all levels of government. This wasn't an issue raised or a campaign promise. It is an ideological fixation against the federal government, despite many areas of cooperation and mutual benefit. Tax breaks and short term utility subsidies were offered during the run-up to the campaign. The Premier campaigned on tax reductions but then raised taxes on fuel. Meanwhile, Royalty revenue promises to reach all time highs in 2024 thanks to the completion of the federally funded TMX expansion. The ideological pause on Renewal Energy projects and the new restrictions on land use and land owner rights runs contrary to the interests of municipalities and farmers. AESO didn't ask for a pause and the CEO was troubled by it. Premier Smith tells a different "story". The ongoing complaint about Federal over reach pales in comparison to these and other Provincial policies that by and large were never a campaign promise.

Is anyone really surprised by this? No way this ruling could remain with even a shred of authority respected or dignity remaining in Colorado or for our entire federal elections for that matter. Will he likely lose there anyways? Almost certainly, but our people’s voices deserve to be heard whether we like their content or not. This was not even remotely surprising to me that this state was capable of such frauds. To anyone who wasn’t already paying attention to the consistent injustice and lack of serving the public occurring in Colorado, this isn’t much of a shock. Another perfect example of their overstepping their rightful bounds was when medical tyranny ran rampant (not allowing treatment to the unvaccinated OF ANY FORM in an unprecedented, authoritarian, completely disrespectful abandonment of patient autonomy rights and a shining example of human rights violations and violation of established Nuremberg Code statutes) hasn’t been paying attention. The state has no right to force or coerce people into making health choices and for those who took the Hippocratic Oath (notice I said it with it being an option because few know it is NO LONGER MANDATORY AND YOU ARE NOT PROTECTED BY THE LAW FROM INSTITUTIONAL WRONGDOING ANYMORE) they should have their licenses and ability to practice completely stripped. Hospitals who engaged in such behavior should be swiftly punished with MASSIVE federal fines and complete refusal of all grants. In addition to this, any patient discriminated against should receive HEFTY compensation for their rights being violated and millions if any lives were lost in the matters at hand. The state of Colorado is a complete lost cause and I would no longer step foot in it if you paid me. Sad though, I’ve been there many times and REALLY enjoyed the scenery, most of the people and previously planned to move there. Then the pandemic hit and I watched how they handled everything and I was SO GLAD I never moved there yet. Changed my mind INSTANTLY. They also managed to completely and utterly DESTROY most of the businesses in my industry to the point that what was once a booming/thriving industrial economy so vastly successful the property values of the place shot through the roof and everyone was flocking there in droves, ultimately was the same migration that caused the current political and ideological catastrophic failures both societally and legally. It’s a cesspool of liberal ideologies now with very little regard for how those policies impact businesses/people! Be warned. They care not for your success. They care for taxation and self righteous virtue signaling. That’s the epitome of what drives them now.
