?? **Understanding Medications: Empowering Patients as Equal Partners in Healthcare** ?? In today's healthcare landscape, patient empowerment is more important than ever. One key aspect of this empowerment is understanding medications—what they are for, how they work, and how to take them properly. When patients truly understand their medications, they become equal partners in their healthcare journey. This knowledge allows them to: ? Make Informed Decisions: Patients can discuss their treatment options confidently with their healthcare providers. ? Enhance Adherence: Understanding the importance and purpose of each medication improves adherence, leading to better health outcomes. ? Reduce Anxiety: Clear knowledge about medications reduces the fear and uncertainty that often accompanies treatment. ? Promote Safety: Patients who know their medications are more likely to recognize and report side effects or interactions promptly. ?? At Anmi Solutions AB, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers to medication adherence and health literacy. By providing personalized medication education and adherence support, we help patients manage their chronic conditions more effectively. ?? Our easy to use platform helps healthcare providers ensure that patients stay on track, ultimately reducing hospitalizations and improving overall quality of life. ?? By transforming how patients understand and manage their medications, we are not just improving individual health outcomes—we are building a more collaborative, effective healthcare system. ?? Together, let's make healthcare a partnership, not a prescription. ?? ?? Let me show you how it works! The Power of Free?? Are you finding it challenging to attract new patients to your healthcare practice? It may sound counterintuitive, but offering a free service may fix that. What is that, exactly? Free consultations. If you're unsure how that will translate to more traffic, don't worry. I'll break it down from a patient & provider perspective. Patient Benefits?? Patients can explore their options without financial commitment, potentially increasing confidence in the clinic and treatment plan?? It allows patients to assess if they feel safe and comfortable with the healthcare provider, improving patient satisfaction and trust?? Better patient education and understanding of their health can lead to decision-making and improved health outcomes?? Provider Benefits?? Attracts new patients and enhances the clinic's reputation as a trustworthy clinic?? Increases the likelihood of word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied patients?? Provides opportunities to upsell additional services or treatments during the consultation?? Offers a valuable feedback loop, allowing providers to better understand patient needs and concerns?? #HealthCare #Consulting

Value based care incentives and incentives for providers employed by health systems are seriously misaligned. Only 9% of PCPs and even fewer specialists work under compensation structures that allow them to see financial benefit for improving quality or reducing total cost of care. For the most part, incentives designed to change provider behavior never make it to the provider. Most health systems pay providers on an RVU based construct. There are folks trying to change the equation, but it will continue to be a challenge until hospitals move out of the FFS world.
Study: ONLY 5.3% of Employed Specialist #Compensation and 9% of #PCP Compensation Value-Based. #ValueBasedCare = Window Dressing?? RAND and Harvard University Researchers Published a Study in the Journal of the American Medical Association Examining How #Doctors are Paid by #Hospital System-Owned Practices. The Study Found that only 9% of #PrimaryCare Physician Compensation was Based on Value (Quality and Cost-Effectiveness) and only?5.3% of #Specialist Compensation was Based on Value. The Study Concluded: "The results of this cross-sectional study suggest that PCPs and specialists despite receiving value-based reimbursement incentives from payers, the compensation of health system PCPs and specialists was #dominated by #volume-based incentives designed to maximize health systems revenue." The benefits of e-prescribing at scale have the potential to be vast and we all need to consider how to adopt the technology to more quickly enable nimble delivery of safe and effective care for Canadians. But it is not fair or reasonable to expect the #pharmacy sector to bear the costs for an asset that benefits so many across the health care system. Time for more equitable solutions.
In response to last week's Request for Expression of Interest released by Canada Health Infoway regarding the ongoing funding of PrescribeIT?, Neighbourhood Pharmacies has released a statement encouraging CHI to develop an equitable funding model based on cost recovery contributions from all stakeholders who benefit from the use of the e-prescribing tool. The benefits of e-prescribing and the improved quality of healthcare services it supports extend systemically to multiple stakeholders across the healthcare landscape, not just pharmacies and their patients, but also prescribers, other healthcare providers, provincial governments, and healthcare systems. Pharmacies should not bear the sole responsibility for the costs associated with the use of this tool. Please find our full response and recommendation here: https://lnkd.in/g_TXzDiC
