The Power of Data campaign officially launched this week, September 2024! Driving digital transformation with data Markus Helfert, Director of EMPOWER - Data Governance and the Innovation Value Institute?(IVI), discusses the key programmes aimed at helping both small and large organisations in their digital?transformation journey: “The Innovation Value Institute at Maynooth University is a multidisciplinary research institute focused on digital transformation, data and service?innovation.” The Innovation Value Institute is aligned with the university’s mission to empower its research community to envision and create a better future for all. “We focus on data governance, automating data management, and generating value from data,” says Helfert. “Through collaboration with four leading SFI centres (Lero, ADAPT Centre, Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics and FutureNeuro) the EMPOWER programme establishes best practices in data governance. By combining insights and expertise from various projects, we develop frameworks and roadmaps that deliver effective, forward-thinking solutions.” Additionally, the institute’s *Rethink Redesign* programme, funded through the Enterprise Ireland Innovation Voucher scheme, empowers businesses to drive digital transformation. “We are not only pushing the boundaries of research but also revolutionising how businesses and entrepreneurs innovate in today’s digital landscape,” Helfert concludes.
