When Rick, our Future Fund Founder, experienced a stroke, he was able to witness first-hand the positive impact of high-tech rehab. For hand and finger stretching, Rick used the Amadeo – a device that ensures a high engagement level using games. Rick also used the Armeo Power, a robotic exoskeleton that can detect minute movements – even if they aren’t visible to the naked eye. This technology simulates functional tasks, helping with the repetition that is vital in stroke rehabilitation. Rick’s hope is that others will donate to the Future Fund, so that more patients will be able to access this life changing therapy.
