The global multi-stakeholder community is the most important mechanism that can create an effective global integration and inclusive environment that will accelerate growth and enable progress towards Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education SDG4 is not just a basic right but is key to unlocking the future of many children that will benefit from the policies that will enable their education transformed by shaping their future. Quality Education must ensure that no child is left behind in those with special needs that will empowered through the provision of free education and education for all. Ensure that the High- Level Education Agenda such at these will promises are kept and the future of many children in the womb today will benefit from the shaping contributions of @SummitOfTheFuture. Sincere gratitude to the esteemed panelists and distinguished audience who graced Session 1 which I moderated entitled: "Common Policy Frameworks: Global Alliance for Literacy (GAL) and Marrakech Framework for Action (MFA)" on the sides of the Global celebrations of International Literacy Day 2024 hosted by Cameroon in collaboration with UNESCO. As we gather here today, we acknowledge the significant progress made in literacy rates over the past decades. However, despite these achievements, many countries continue to grapple with inadequate literacy levels, including digital literacy, and a persistent gender gap. The importance of literacy cannot be overstated. Its benefits for individuals, families, communities, societies, and the planet are well-documented. Therefore, adult literacy demands sufficient policy attention and financial support. In this session, Countries gave insights into the GAL and MFA policy frameworks, exploring their synergies and potential for driving progress in literacy and Lifelong Learning. Panelists shared their insights and expertise.

Literacy isn’t just about reading words; it’s about “decoding the world” around us. As we celebrate International Literacy Day, let’s remember that literacy is more than just the ability to read—it’s the foundation of critical thinking, empathy, and the human intelligence that shapes our future. In an AI-driven world, literacy has evolved. Now, it’s about digital literacy, media literacy, and the ability to critically assess the information we encounter daily.
