Travel the world without being there full time with Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) assignments. ?? On TDY, Airmen are able to travel for training, conferences, meetings or regular assignments. Airmen have the ability to travel to a location other than their permanent duty station with lodgings, meals and incidental expenses covered.
what are the requirements?
"TDY" has always been a tool for the US Air Force. Largely used to send troops for training. Other uses; send troops for humanitarian and relief Aid to other States or Countries. Sometimes used to bump up manpower to another Unit which has become critical. I can't count on two hands the many TDY's I've enjoyed and not really enjoyed, but still came away greatful for them. TDY's are not a "perk"... They are mission oriented... and hopefully our Airmen comes away a stronger person having been chosen for these particular assignments.
????Many people asked Rosie Hamer (HRH): Why to say the word “We Love” the United Air Force vs. We support?”. Genuinely, I know of the United States Air Force because Kevin McCarthy Californian Legislator Congressman 55th Speaker of the USA made a remarkable highlight about the U.S. Air Force’s talented Captains and Co-Pilots. U.S. President & Vice- President. Planes and music. Captains and people. Thus when we said: We love the U.S. Air Force, there has to be a sense of trust and love when we trust our life aboard on the hands of those who knows how to flight planes and knows how to play music. ?????????? 8282024 … https://lnkd.in/gYvF4iB3 P.S.: If this Temporary Duty Training Travel guarantee my safety. I ask permission to take the training… love it. It could the forever life chance …
TDYs were the best in the USAF…we used to buy a loaf of bread and bologna and eat bologna sandwiches 3 times a day so we could pocket the per diem money…go USAF!
On my second year after enlisting in the AF, I was assigned to HQ USAFE at Lindsay Air Station in Wiesbaden, Germany. Two of us shared the responsibility ensuring Airmen as the various communication sites in Europe had the proper equipment and support in the MWR areas. With over 40 locations in the command, I was frequently TDY during my 4 years at LAS. Due to the remote locations of the comm sites, I always stayed off base and normally longer than needed as we used Milair for transport which was often once a week for most locations. TDY was a plus for my time in the AF.
Having the opportunity to travel ??, move for extended periods of time for work and discover new realities is an opportunity but it is also a sacrifice in creating stable relationships that however allows you to make new friends ?? and new work experiences. As long as an airman has the desire, the possibility and the spirit of adventure to do it for me it is a great opportunity to seize on the fly. ?? ?? ??
Great opportunity to travel and grow professionally! ????
As a former weapons troop with the 58th Fighter Squadron, I can say, all the places I found myself were amazing. From Florida's gorgeous Gulf Coast, where I was stationed to the Saudi Arabian desert. This was like being on another planet! Pick a job that deploys and see some rad places.

2 个月Is this really what recruiting is turning toward—all expense paid travel? What about things like service, integrity, and excellence? Guess they don’t think those things resonate…or is it they don’t think they exist?
