Dear network, I wish all of us a year 2025 in full consciousness! Our rational, humanist, citizen, solidarity and ecological conscience is a weapon of mass destruction against inequalities, human tragedies, environmental degradation and the thirst for profit/ power of a few. They will keep putting a lot of effort in extinguishing our consciousness, saturating us with depressing information, setting an ignoble hierarchy of suffering, replacing rational and objective thinking with opinions and beliefs, using skillful semantic/psychological maneuvers, systematically pressing the button of immediate and selfish pleasure at the expense of our long term vision and solidarity with our contemporaries and future generations, and ever dividing tasks to keep us further away from the consequences of our actions. All this to reduce us to docile and frightened consumers, without critical mind, free will, without political convictions or claims, and leave the way open to the exploitation of life and resources without limit, and endless profits. So let’s stay fully awake and do not give in to these attempts to split our citizen, parent, activist and professional selves.
