We know that to drive the scale of change we need to achieve science based targets and do it in a way that enables our businesses to prosper. At the same time, we need to use the creativity that's sitting within our teams to explore new approaches across the value chain and innovate consistently. The reality is that this is in general isn't happening in most businesses. When it comes to climate action planning, we normally have a variety of systems and processes that are scattered across the business and sustainability assessments happen once innovations have been developed. Or at best, we have a product design framework that we review against, but this then doesn't connect upstream activity with downstream activity or then effectively integrate into procurement planning. This is exactly 1 of the reasons why we set up YouTube Blue. We want teams to be proactive, have a way for any team within the business to assess ideas, compare ideas and be able to make decisions. So how, how do we do it? The key part of the Aniboom system is cost effective and rapid scenario simulations. Before we we get into that and before you get into that, you will have already set up your targets as you can see here on the dashboard and will most likely have some projects to live that you're already working on and will have added them into the system. Again, as you can see here, you can see your your plan projects mapped against your target within the dashboard. And so we're not going to focus on that initial setup in this video, but instead want to talk through what happens when you've done that work and are now looking at how do you compare new ideas coming from your teams to achieve those targets. So you will, you will start by putting in your baseline, which is your business as usual scenario. We've already done that within within this example and you'll also have worked with with your operational teams, so for example, teams working on formulations. In production or with files to build up your set of ideas. And we're going to run a fairly simple scenario here, uh, which is looking at how we reduce the emissions impact of our, of our feed. So you can see the, the, the three ideas are listed down here with their total emissions and the investment required against them. We then click compare ideas and you can see that automatically mapped up here with cost mapped against emission. Production and and you can also click up here and see those ideas mapped against your target as well. So you can see those different ideas how it will impact on your broader target or on your sub target. The emission factors are are pulled automatically from a wide variety of the highest quality emission databases that we have to ensure that you're getting as granular as possible with your particular ideas. And that's the really key part. You have to get granular on and on the impact of that of that idea. What we've now got if we flip back to emissions and costs, what we now have is a comparison which will shape your discussions with leadership. So make sure you're able to advise on where to invest with the data. Hand on the emission reduction potential and the financial impact of those different ideas. It also importantly enables you to build out ideas before you go out to your suppliers. Instead of just going out with broad asks. You're you're building out your own knowledge and shaping your own thinking before then going out to suppliers with a few action areas already in your head to work with them collaboratively on. And then from our perspective, by getting into the habit of running easy and rapid scenarios with various different parts of the business, it makes it far easier to build a robust and achievable emission reduction road map where you're tapping into the expertise and the entire business. Rather than paying consultants to come off, come up with one off ideas.
