25 November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Approximately 35% of women worldwide have experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence. The consequences for women and girls can be devastating, including death. We should all commit to ending violence against women. More must be done to address violence against women globally. #16Days of Activism.

On this #InternationalDayfortheEliminationofViolenceAgainstWomen, we must confront the harsh reality: violence against women persists because society allows it to. The silence, the excuses, and the failure to act are as much a part of the problem as the violence itself. This is a wake-up call for all of us to reflect on the systems, norms, and behaviors that perpetuate this injustice. Ending violence against women isn’t just a women’s issue—it’s a societal failure that demands immediate action and accountability.
