Women's Friendship Month — International Women's Friendship Month is celebrated in September to honor the importance of female friendships. The month-long celebration was created by Kappa Delta Sorority, which started with National Women's Friendship Day in 1999 and expanded it in 2009. A time to honor the special connections between women who uplift, inspire, and empower us. Friendships are more than just fun hangouts and shared memories — they are lifelines of support, strength, and encouragement. We encourage you to: ?? How My View of Womanhood Evolved Through Extraordinary Women ?? Growing up, my perception of womanhood was clouded by stereotypes. I saw girls sitting quietly on the sidelines while I played sports with the boys, and I mistakenly believed that women were less active and more sensitive. I gravitated toward guy friends, thinking they were simply cooler. How wrong I was. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting extraordinary women who’ve shattered every preconceived notion I once held: ?? Women who’ve thrived in fields typically dominated by men, showing that there are no limits to what they can achieve. ?? Women who’ve taken bold steps to follow their dreams, proving their amazing courage. ?? Women who manage many roles with incredible skill and grace, turning challenges into successes. ?? Women who handle tough situations with a quiet strength, turning obstacles into opportunities. ?? Women who’ve been there for me through tough times, offering real support and love. Just like Geet’s spirit in Jab We Met, these amazing women have shown me that womanhood isn’t about fitting into a mould, but about embracing self-love, breaking barriers, and lifting each other up with strength and grace. Their stories have inspired me to cherish the essence of self-love in every step of the journey.
