Megan Gao, Oscar Cheung, Antony Tran, and I took first place at the Milwaukee Bucks Business Analytics Hackathon! ?? Hosted by Milwaukee Bucks Inc. and Modine Manufacturing Company, our challenge was to help the Bucks find new ways to keep fans engaged and coming back. We built a fan lifecycle strategy designed to drive long-term retention and revenue, powered by: ? Journey mapping the full fan experience, identifying key moments where engagement spikes or falls ? RFM segmentation to rank fans by value ? A Markov Chain model to predict how fans transition between engagement tiers ? Churn and retention analysis to understand when and why fans drop off With these insights, we developed targeted strategies that would integrate with existing Bucks platforms to increase season ticket upgrades, prevent churn, and maximize lifetime value. We're honored that the judges valued our project’s potential and approach. I'm so thankful to have worked alongside such a talented team and to everyone who helped host the event.
