"Don't call us, we'll call you" - to innovate in a large company you need to create space for small teams to do so. That part is hard: many parts of the company will care and want to "help". That help often comes at a cost: it slows you down. Speed is one of the most important things for new bets, so you can't have that. A recipe that's worked for me is to manage stakeholders with internal comms: share demos, show momentum, share learnings every week. Create this picture in their head of your team being a high speed train. No one wants to get in front of a high speed train - you stay out of its path. More tips like this in this podcast episode hosted by the great Lenny Rachitsky! https://lnkd.in/dQSnRuhd
Pro tip for building 0 to 1 within a large company: Keep the momentum up, and growing. No one wants to f*ck with a high-speed train. Clip from my chat with Tanguy Crusson: https://lnkd.in/gGP3hcYp
