Department of #ChemistryandBiochemistry, #ShardaUniversity has organized a fun and interaction session "CHEM FIESTA" for the XI and XII class students on 21st May 2024 on campus. In that I was asked to plan some game activities for the students. Everyone might have heard about famous TAMBOLA game, very much played in Kitty parties ??. I have never played the game but once saw ladies of my yoga group playing it for fun and from there, I clicked with the game of CHEMISTRY TAMBOLA. I planned it in my mind and asked my students to prepare the complete tambola material in terms of CHEMISTRY. My students made everything the way I want it to be. I am sharing here the video reflecting the efforts made by my students. We took the complete stuff to the event and here I introduced a new game called #ChemistryTambola, which turned out to be a huge hit among the students. It was incredible to see everyone engaged, learning, and having so much fun with chemistry in a whole new way. ???? A big thank you to all the students who participated with such enthusiasm and to my complete team for making this event a grand success. Your energy and passion made it all worthwhile! The base of the CHEMISTRY TAMBOLA was to remember the symbols of all the elements. Learning the symbols of the elements of the periodic table offers several advantages particularly for students, professionals in science-related fields, and anyone with an interest in chemistry. It enhances the #cognitiveskills, such as memory and pattern recognition. Familiarity with element symbols helps develop analytical skills as students learn to decode and understand chemical information more efficiently. Looking forward to more innovative and enjoyable learning experiences in the future. Let's keep the spirit of curiosity and discovery alive! ?? #ShardaUniversity #CHEMFiesta #ChemistryTambola #InnovativeLearning #StudentEngagement #FunWithChemistry

Make sure to check out this Q&A with Manisha Muthukaruppan!
In celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, today we are highlighting Manisha Muthukaruppan, biochemistry major. Q: Why did you choose #Mizzou? A:?I chose Mizzou because it offered an abundance of opportunities. Not only did Mizzou provide the classes I was interested in through its biochemistry major, but in addition, Mizzou also has undergraduate research and a variety of organizations to join. I love getting involved on campus, so this was amazing! Having been on campus before, through Mizzou’s Mini Med program, I also knew that I’d be surrounded by friendly students and staff who would make my college journey even more fulfilling. * A very proud moment for me to complete 8 years of establishing Senguptas Research Academy * There have been many milestones along the way, with 6000+ students from 90+ countries and nearly 200 assisted publications, creating first ever Research grants in India etc, but it's worth looking back at a lesson I learnt right at the beginning. * When you are trying to catapult something very novel (like online teaching courses in 2016) we have to often go backwards (to basics and fundamentals) to get the leverage. * The further back we go, the more leverage we have, and the further we will get catapulted beyond all others, literally like a catapult works. * In the beginning, it appears that we are regressive to the common man and there are plenty of naysayers. But we know what we are doing and have confidence in its success. So be brave and back yourself throughout. * My few cents when I established SRA * Can't thank my students enough for wanting to keep learning from me, and clients who continue to keep coming back for more statistics and manuscripts.

Igniting Curiosity in Young Minds! Exploration Day at Ekya Schools. I had the privilege of conducting an engaging session, "Into the Curious World of Chemistry," for middle school students as a resource person. Our goal? To demystify chemistry and make it fun! Through interactive experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, we explored the wonders of chemistry, connecting theory to real-life applications. Witnessing students' curiosity and excitement was truly rewarding. Key Takeaways: ?? ?Stimulated curiosity and interest in chemistry ?? ?Developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills ?? ?Fostered creativity through experimentation ?? ?Showcased chemistry's relevance in everyday life ?? ?Built confidence to explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom The Experience: Witnessing the spark of curiosity in young minds was incredible. Seeing students enjoy the process of learning and exploration reminded me of the importance of making education engaging and accessible. As educators and mentors, it's our responsibility to nurture the next generation's scientific thinkers and innovators. I feel grateful to have played a part in inspiring these bright minds. Let's continue igniting curiosity and fostering a love for science in our youth! I attended a talk show by HIMABITS called BERSEMI: Berkumpul Bersama Alumni, which bring out the theme Dunia Perkuliahan vs Dunia Pasca Sarjana. On this event, three alumni of the Department of Biology ITS were invited as speakers to discuss about the differences between life during college and after graduation, especially in the world of work and career development. For the discussion brought by them are: Anugrah Rizqi Putra Satiadi - He shared his experience on how university life has shaped his skills in critical thinking and problem-solving, which are indispensable in the working world. He emphasized the importance of soft skills such as communication and leadership, which are often not formally taught on campus, but are essential in the post-graduate world. Agus Satriyono - Agus spoke about the challenges that students face after graduation, especially in dealing with expectations in the working world that are different from academic life. He also highlighted the importance of adaptability and the ability to keep learning, as the world of work is dynamic and requires individuals to constantly update their technical and interpersonal skills. Refer Iqbal Tawakkal - Refer shared about the transition from the university world to the post-graduate world which often causes “culture shock” for new graduates. He emphasized that while academic achievement is important, what is equally important is networking and building relationships with people in the industry of interest. Refer also shared tips on how to prepare for a long-term career and the importance of having clear goals from the start. With this knowledge, I’m excited to keep honing my soft skills. I plan to develop these skills further through involvement in organizations and committees at ITS. So that my post-campus world will be easier to navigate with the help of these experiences and abilities. #HIMABITSBERSEMI

Struggling with AS Chemistry and Biology? ?? Buckle up, students, my online Revive 1.0 ?? batch is the right option for you. My background: This is Mohammed Sami. Currently, I'm a pharmacy student at Brac University. I completed my O&A levels from The Radius International School (with decent grades). Besides, I indulged myself with numerous extracurriculars, which helped me earn recognition from Bangladesh Biology Olympiad (BDBO) as the regional winner of this competition in 2023. With all of these experiences, I have been teaching both online and offline students for the last 3 years. Now why should you choose me as your teacher? ?? Being an English Medium background student myself, as I moved to the next chapter of my career with a life sciences major where I am focusing deeply on both biology and chemistry concepts along with their individual practical applications, like the art of making medicine itself and how it works inside the human body, I feel more confident to teach IAL Chemistry and Biology. ?? Being a science enthusiast, I emphasize building solid concepts rather than gobbling up marking scheme points for exams. I understand that these 2-3 years from your academic life are both crucial and stressful, but I think it is also essential for you to appreciate what you learn. For this reason, I try to base my teaching with a practical approach; to spark curiosity amongst my students so that they can dig deeper into each concept taught overall in my classroom. ?? My remuneration is quite reasonable, but still, I offer financial aid and scholarships to my students with meritorious results in their O'levels. All kinds of students are welcome in my classroom! ?? Even if it's online, I will take regular exams that will be monitored strictly. Your copies will be checked and also be sent with corrections and my personal feedback. The best part is I won't charge anything extra for your exams. ?? For a bonus, you get the most friendly treatment ever. ? Inbox me for further details ?? #IAL #Alevels #Edexcel #EdexcelBiology #edexcelchemistry #chemistry #CAIE
